Monique has a Mechanical Engineering background with 14 years of professional work experience.  She has one son, who is now over 20 years old, and lives in beautiful British Columbia with the love of her life.  Monique’s creative journey started with scrapbooking in 2010, and has quickly expanded into other areas, such as mixed media, altered art and jewelry making.  You can visit Monique’s YouTube channel to sneak a peak at her creations and several free tutorials that she offers.

Monique was a member of the Wild Orchid Crafts design team for 6 months, and has guest designed for Ephemera’s Garden on Etsy.  When she is not busy packaging orders or shopping for new goodies to add to the ButterBeeScraps store, she is busy making flatware jewelry for her second business – Monique’s Jewelry Designs

Julie has been scrapbooking for 9 years, and continually cranks out mini albums that she sells at local craft fairs and trade shows. Since her albums have to appeal to a variety of people, Julie can create a mini in pretty much any style. Julie’s motto is “work with your product”, and she always does a great job of it!

Monica started scrapbooking over 20 years ago, when she was still a wee one, and has grown from simple scrapbooking and card making to mixed media, altered art, and jewelry making. If you know Monica, you know she loves her bling and her metals, so she is a perfect fit for our team.

Marina Wilson – Design Team Alumni

Marina-biophotoMarina is a stay-at-home mom of 3 amazing little boys – 2 of them with Autism.  Her boys are Xavier (5), Xander (4) and Xion (2).  Marina has been crafting for over 14 years but has only been a part of the online community for 2 years.  She uses many forms of craft as mediums for expression, including painting, crochet and cooking.  She discovered the world of paper crafting 2 years ago, and it opened a whole new world of possibilities…she’s learned how to create journals, mini albums, jewelry and much more.  The inspiration is never ending and with it comes opportunities.  She’s become a part of amazing communities of incredible women and men.  Marina wants to learn and expand on what she can do, and always finds ways to improve and grow.  Discovering metal was one of the the most enjoyable things she came upon while exploring the craft world.  She has come to love incorporating metal into many of her projects, and truly enjoys sharing her creations with the community.  She aspires to be like many of the great ladies on her team.

Marina can be found on many social sharing sites, including YouTube, Etsy, Pinterest, and her blog 🙂

Keri Sallee – Design Team Alumni

Keri Sallee ButterBeeScraps DT MemberKeri is the newest member of our design team – joining us in January 2016.  She has always been a lover of all things creative, from writing to art to cooking to music.  Before shifting her focus to paper crafting and mixed media, she trained in music ministry and studied as a classically trained soprano.  She loves pushing herself and thinking outside the box, particularly in trying to make art fun, but still affordable (sounds like a perfect fit 😉 ).  Keri also shares her talents on her YouTube channel and her blog – The Creative Life Studios.

For the past 10 years she has lived in Northwest Arkansas with her husband of 13 years, Kendall, and her 3 crazy kiddos: KJ (age 12), Kylee (age 8) and Khloe (5.) {Do you see the pattern? Yes…they all start with a “K”! LOL}

She currently designs for The Crafter’s Workshop. She has also designed for Faber Castell Design Memory Craft, Graphic 45, Marion Smith Designs, Authentique Paper, Susan K Weckesser, Canvas Corp, 7Gyspies, Tattered Angels and Want2Scrap.

If you ask her what her motto is in life, she would tell you she has two:

  1. Picasso once said “Inspiration does exist, but it must find you working.” Even if I am feeling “uninspired”, I always make the choice to go into my studio and just play. Sometimes it works out…sometimes it doesn’t, but I would never know either way, unless I get my hands dirty.
  2. Genesis 1:1 starts out “In the beginning GOD CREATED….” This verse is actually my newest tattoo on my right wrist. It is my constant reminder that I can only do what I do, because God FIRST created me and my gentle nudge to leave my pride at the door. I can’t wait to hear from all of you, inspire you to try something new and even learn a little something back.
