Good morning world!!! I have a yummilicious necklace created by design team member Heidi Blankenship to share with you today 🙂
Heidi created the focal point of her necklace using a Bronze Fleur-de-lis Tibetan Charm (#J352-B). To get that beautiful shabby finish, Heidi first spray painted the fleur-de-lis using Krylon flat white paint. After the paint dried, she buffed the paint off the high spots using super fine steel wool (#0000). Finally, she sprayed the piece with Krylon crystal clear satin to protect the piece.
Once the fleur-de-lis was shabbified, Heidi added some SS8 and SS10 Clear AB Pointy Back Crystal Rhinestones to the settings along with some white flat back pearls from her stash. Heidi then used Textured Bronze Cable Chain (#CH521-B), a Bronze Ball End Head Pin, Bronze Filigree Bead Caps (#CAP052-B), a clear teardrop bead, Clear Rhinestone and Bronze Rondelle Spacer Beads – 6mm (#BD006-B/CL), and a white rose bead to create the dangle at the bottom of the fleur-de-lis.
Heidi added similar bead and finding combinations to the chain to add a little extra “wow” factor to this necklace. I think the little extra something really balances the piece off 🙂
